so, have you ever wanted someone who you couldn't have.. for whatever the reason may be? maybe the person doesn't even realize of your existence. maybe the person just doesn't feel attracted to you. or maybe the person doesn't want to ruin the friendship you two already have.
i'm sure everyone has been in this undoubtedly sucky [for lack of a better term] situation. i sure have [of course] and let me tell you, it certainly does knock you down a few rungs on the ego ladder.

so after a breakup or a situation like this, what do you do with those feelings that you have toward the other person? pick up those little, crawling emotions and put them back in the bottle and cork them up? easier said than done, as they say. emotions have a mind of their own. soon enough, like an imprisoned criminal lusting for freedom, they'll bust out of there and be on the rampage yet again.
so what actually helps? i don't know.. ignoring that person? attraction toward another person? time away from that person? imo, time is perhaps the greatest remedy for these circumstances. keep your thoughts occupied with other things. get a new hobby. do things that make you happy. things happen for a reason; get over it.
